Dogfight is set in 1960s America, on the eve of young Marines' departure for the Vietnam War. Eddie Birdlace and his mates organise a 'dogfight', a cruel game involving inviting young women deemed 'unattractive' so they can make fun of them. Eddie meets Rose, a sincere and idealistic young woman. What was meant to be a simple prank turns into a life-changing encounter. Over the course of that night, Eddie is confronted with his values and the humanity he risks losing. Between social violence and unexpected tenderness, Dogfight explores coming of age, individual responsibility and the capacity for change.
